Every 2022 World Cup kit, ranked, from best to worst

You know me well if you follow me on twitter. I love tier lists. I love ranking things, whether it’s anime, Disney, or snack food. We have another thing to rank: the 2022 World Cup Kits.

The majority of kits that each country will wear in Qatar have been made public. Let’s see which ones are good, which ones are okay, and which ones need back to the drawing boards.

NOTE: Although Cameroon, Tunisia, and England have not officially released their kits yet, there have been leaks. They will be listed in the rankings once they have released the kits.

S Tier: Best of the best, I’d wear it

Qatar

Red, white, and gold/sand are difficult to mix up, so the host country does a great job with the kits. Nike claims that the white serrated trim on home (red) kits is a symbol of the country’s 1971 independence. But the away kit really stands out. It looks sick. The kit’s sandy color represents the coast.

Japan

These are a fantastic kit. The origami patterns on both the home and away sleeves are instantly noticeable. And the vibrant blue is even more evident. The away kit is very good, with the great contrast between the graphics and base color.

France

There’s beauty in simplicity sometimes, and this is what the French have done with their home kit. France is a master at mixing colors. 10/10, no notes.

Mexico

The away kit. ‘Nuff said.

Germany

God, those away kit are a ripper. The traditional Germany home kits look so good, with the away kits in black, gold, and dark red.

A Tier: I’d wear it, but it wouldn’t be my first choice

Brazil

Simple, clean, effective. Brazil home kits are always a hit. The away kits are bold, and I love the sleeves.

Serbia

Remember when I said that it was difficult to ruin red, white, and gold? This logic is also applicable here. Serbia is ranked A by the big badge at the center of the away kit, but the home kit is incredible.

Spain

These kits are great! I don’t know why, but it is something I love. Perhaps the home kits remind me a lot of All Might from My Hero Academia. Or maybe it’s because the away kits have a cool color. It’s a great uniform overall.

Argentina

Again, home kits are a classic, but man that away kit is NICE.

B Tier: I’d wear it … maybe

Wales

These are simple. But 2 things make this a B-tier tier: the AWESOME dragon FA Badge and the collar on your away kit. I am a simple man. I see dragons and put them in the tier B.

Poland

Red and white are easy to mix and match. Poland doesn’t try to recreate the wheel, and doesn’t do crazy things. However, the sleeves of the white kit look really cool.

Belgium

Although the kits are solid, the sleeves of the home kits reminds me of Guy Fieri’s Flavortown shirt. The away kits are certainly better.

Ghana

The home kits look so crisp. Puma, what are you doing with the away kit?

Morocco

You know what, Puma? I need to hear from someone.

Iran

These are cool. I love the transition between green and red stripes. It’s simple, but it is a great kit.

C Tier: I would wear it if it was the last one on the rack

Korea Republic

It’s a lot of red in the home kits, and very little black. This makes them a bit overbearing. I think the away kits are reminiscent of Dan Flashes shirts.

USA

They’re just so bleh. They don’t stand out, and they look almost like practice jerseys.

Saudi Arabia

The home kit design is great, but I prefer the Dan Flashes for my away kit. Enough.

Senegal

The box that came with all these Puma products will never see heaven.

Ecuador

The home kit is very, very, VERY basic, but the blue away kit is very cool and I like the design. Just, be a bit more creative with the home ones, please?

Netherlands

Is the home kit orange? Is it gold? I do know that overall it’s kinda basic.

Australia

It really feels like Nike tried to do more here, then chose to go back to the simple things. They should’ve tried harder.

D Tier: No chance I wear this in public

Portugal

Yeah … no … not at all.

Croatia

I know it’s an entire thing but the checkered red pattern just reminds me of a barbecue place, which i’m sure wasn’t the plan.

Uruguay

If it weren’t for the home kits these would be in the F tier, because the away kits once again suck. Puma will never see heaven-ever.

F Tier: Why do these exist?

Canada

I honestly feel bad for Canada, because they won’t be getting new kits for the World Cup. These look like create-a-team kits.

Costa Rica

I had to go and look these up on the New Balance website to see if they were real or not. Unfortunately, they are.

Switzerland

Alright who at Puma decided to put this QR code on Switzerland’s kits? Who thought this was a good idea?
